Generic Aricept

Dosage Instructions

The prescribed dosage of Generic Aricept Donepezilwill be different for each patient. Always follow your physician's directions. You can also follow the direction given on prescription drug label. The following dosage information includes some common doses of Generic for Aricept. If your dose is different, do not follow any of the dosages described below unless your physician has approved.

For daily dosage, 5 milligrams of Generic Aricept Donepezilis recommended. Take it once a day at bedtime for at least 4 to 6 weeks. The dose should not be increased during this period unless directed. The doctor may then change the dosage to 10 milligrams once a day if response to the drug necessitates it.

The number of tablets or capsules prescribed per-day may vary according to the strength of the prescription drug. If the patient has particular health problems, the amount of tablets or capsules taken, the time between doses, and the duration the drug may be different. Always follow the instructions given to you by your physician.

Missed Dosage

If you are taking Generic Temovate Clobetasolon daily basis and you have missed a dose of this medicine, take it as soon as you memorize. But, if it is approximately time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.

Overdose

An overdose may lead to many unwanted side effects. They can be described in the following points:

• Collapse,
• Convulsions,
• Extreme muscle weakness (possibly ending in death if breathing muscles are affected),
• Low blood pressure,
• Nausea,
• salivation,
• Slowed heart rate,
• Sweating and vomiting

If you experience any of these side effects let your doctor know about it.

Contraindications

Generic Aricept Donepezilis contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to donepezil hydrochloride or to piperidine derivatives.

Side effects

Generic Aricept Donepezilmay produce diarrhea, nausea and vomiting. These effects, when they occur, appear more frequently with the 10 mg/day dose than with the 5 mg/day dose. Mostly these effects have been mild and short-lived, sometimes lasting one to three weeks, and have persisted during continued use of the medicine.

Cardiovascular Conditions: Because of their pharmacological action, this drug may have vagotonic effects on the sinoatrial and atrioventricular nodes. This effect causes bradycardia or heart block in patients both with and without known underlying cardiac conduction abnormalities. Syncopal episodes have been reported in association with the use of ARICEPT®.

Although Genitourinary has not been found in clinical trials of Generic Aricept Donepezil, it may cause bladder outflow obstruction.

This drug may increase the risk of generalized convulsions or seizure.

Aricept can aggravate asthma and other breathing problems. Because of their cholinomimetic actions, it should be prescribed with care to patients with a history of asthma or obstructive pulmonary disease.
